With over 12 years of professional experience in Lutheria, he specializes in the construction, repair, and handmade restoration of plucked string instruments, as classical guitars and a variety of latin-american instruments such as Charango, Requinto, Tres Cubano and Cuatro Venezolano.
His artistical creations are defined by combining traditional elements, the quest for innovative designs and the authenticity of the pieces. This artistical stamp, that characterizes Mariano’s handmade works, achieved the Award of Excellence for Handicrafts of UNESCO, awarded by the World Craft Council in 2014.
Among his works are distinguished the creation of an electrical Charango of own design, and his participation on a project for the invention of a brand new bolivian instrument. This last one, named “Seis” (Six), was showcased in the cities of La Paz (Bolivia) and Rosario (Argentina) at the “Charangos of the World” festival.
He gave seminars and conferences around different cities of Latin America in the context of international meetings and festivals, some of them declared of cultural interest by the government of Buenos Aires.
Musicians from around the world (USA, France, Spain, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador among others) choose his instruments due to their sound quality and the aesthetic imprint that characterize them.
